.... a state of hope

.... still a bit chilly on the toes but the snow is pretty well gone today.

we were up early because we had to drive through one whole state. the state was arkansas. mags and terry drove through arkansas once before i came along. it was tornado season and terry really wanted to see one. mags says he would say... i don't want anyone hurt but i want to see one. well, mags also says that one time the sky turned a real strange colour, the big rigs parked under the underpasses and the air felt weird. terry's eyes got reeeaaal big. he got scared and decided he did not want to see a tornado anymore. later that night they heard the news that a tornado touched down in a town an hour after they drove through...... i never want to see a tornado!
i did want to see bill clinton, though! so... we went on a "bill-grimage'!
the first stop was his official library in little rock! it was closed because it was sunday and mags said everyone in arkansas goes to church on sundays...
i did have a good time sniffing and walking around the big grounds!

next stop was bill's birthplace..... hope! as seems to be the norm with mags and terry, we did the whole tour of the town.... backwards! it ended with me getting my picture with the guy himself!
we had to pitter patter so we could get to the next stop before it got real late. tonight we sleep in dallas.

... a busy day

on the fourth day we were very busy.
after saying a sad goodbye to nanette--- she is my bestest nashville friend--- we headed west.
most of the snow was gone but it was still pretty cold... even for me.
our next stop was memphis!
i had some pulled pork from central bbq--- mags licked the hot sauce off of it,
i visited a very sad but important place,

i made "the pilgrimage" looking for a hound dog,
and at sunset i crossed the mississippi river for ther very first time!

it was dark when we arrived in little rock, arkansas.
i slept real well that night

... nash-vegas!

on our third day we made it to nash-vegas.
my new bestest friend, nanette, calls nashville that.
she lives there so she should know.
mags and terry went to a place they said was really fun. i can't tell you if it was because they left me in the truck.
all i know was there was a resident dog and a big... fat... cat!

later at nanette's place i made a new freind.
sophie and her mom kelley joined us for a great dinner of chicken and cheese and bread and all sorts of tasty things i could try.
i made certain the kitchen floor was clean, clean, clean when we left.
that's my job!

...not having

my own computer means i have to wait until everyone is done before my turn comes around.
life can be pretty ruff!

... time zone?

on our third day we did something i have never done before.... we crossed a "time zone".
the way i see it, i should have had two dinners on that day.
one at the old 5 o'clock and one at the new 5 o'clock.
terry and mags did not agree. grrrrrrrrr.
oh, we also visited here.

mister lincoln was a very nice man.
he once said, "i care not much for a man's religion whose dog and cat are not better for it".
see?
a very nice man!

... home coming

on our second day we drove through the place where i was adopted.
maumee, ohio is just outside of toledo.
on december 22nd, 2003 mags and terry drove all the here to make me a part of their family.
i sure was lucky!

certified "parasite free".
i've got it all... bring on the road trip!

4.1.10

... the start

one more sleep and then we leave for a place that terry and mags keep calling meh-he-co.
mags says that the start of a long journey begins with finding your shoes.
i don't do shoes.
i do bone, though.
